He was born in Zagreb in 1978. where he finished primary school, high school and primary music school. He studied law at the University of Zagreb and later received a degree in painting at the College for visual arts in Ljubljana. He is currently on his postgraduate studies at the Academy of arts in Zagreb. He is a member of the HDLU and LIKUM organizations. He had numerous noted exhibitions by now. In 2008, his first official monograph came out.
Through his creations, he explores non-verbal communication, semiotics and a natural phenomenon of whistling that he embraced and transcribed into a story that is called „The whistle kingdom“-the magical land of positive.
The main character of this story –a sailor called „Whistle“ presents a homo ludens.
He is an ideal human with pure, clear and positive thoughts and like every sailor is not afraid of anything. He is big hearted, living his emotions, loves life and respects everyone around.
Whistle kingdom is an ideal land of homo ludens! It is the perfect metaphor for a positive state of the spirit- an ideal, emotionally and spiritually rich society that yearns for it to become real and to influence the actual society to embrace its ways.
We could say that his work is based on utopia, optimism and humor.
It takes a clear and positive mind to look at the beauty and to turn on the empathy switch within. Only then will we understand the beauty that surrounds us and receive the answer to the question: „What is art?“
Paintings are windows to the world that everyone should experience. These days, most of us are just too lazy to open up the shutters and to really see; to open up the windows to really scent the world; to step out of our square houses that we consider our physical and emotional shields.
